Building a roof on a custom shelter

I've been working on a shelter for around 6 hours now but I can't find out how to make a sloped roof. Anyone know?

I should have specified more, I'm trying to make it look similar to the cabin's roof

If you put down a 3/4, 1/2, or 1/4 log on top of a horizontal log, you can place another log that will hang down the side at an angle, based on the length of log you placed on top.

For example:

     
 [Full log goes here]
     |
     v
       [3/4 log]
   [full         log]
