Also no thanks to importing an entire zoo into what is a small island full of existing, believable life already.
P.S let us cook the big spiders that's a thing in poor countries the kids look for them and cook the tarantulas on sticks.
The last time I played I zipped up to a tree stand and looked around. There were like 4 squrriles running around, birds flying about, deer running around. No matter where i looked there was rampant wildlife.
So if we crowbar in tons more animals, it's basically going to be a literal zoo and cannibals will become an afterthought.
The level of balancing required to implement something like this at the scale people want sounds like a total overhaul or a job for a mod.
The lack of skinning animals for something other then the fairly un-used animal skin armor is pretty meh.
This!
Agreed, unique skins with crafting recipes and building/ decoration options associated with them would make hunting for specific wildlife more fun and rewarding.
It would make a good skin to collect, a bear rug for your floor.
The only way this stuff is going to happen is if the modding community makes it happen and even that is going to be a long shot because we don't even know if this game's going to get steam Workshop support. My guess is it's not going to get it.
