Does using the console disable achievements?

You type in the word cheatstick on your keyboard while being in the game world, then pop out and away the console with F1 key.

Not sure if it's OS language or keyboard language dependent but I guess one of them has to be EN/US or else cheatstick input as such won't be recognized and therefore not enable console. For me (german keyboard layout, german OS language) the cheatstick option does not work which is why I use YUMI and the awesome menu mod from modapi.survivetheforest.net which makes enabling dev console only be a single mouse click on a checkbox away.

It's the keyboard language and will work on a German keyboard as well.
