Yes to all this! I'd honestly not mind seeing something like a snow leopard up in the mountains. Its generally not the first place people would go unless they crashed up that way, and something with that kind of jump and ability to maneuver areas that we as humans can't very well - fight or die if he's clocked you as being on his turf - no running. That's scary.
The fear/power from the mutants would kick in aswell , when it is introduced as close to the main story and "goal" as possible.
For example, the moment you are supposed to save or atleast investigate the death of the Puffton family.. to then figure out there is nobody who needs saving except us.
It doesn't have to be like the last Forest game lol
Side quests could very easily involve the Ai canniblas and POI's. And it doesn't have to be radically different than the main story.
I could build for hours but when I'm ready for a break I realize there's nothing else to do, so I log out and play something else,
So my point was if SotF had more side content, and missions involving the cannibals then I could go do that and come back to the building.
I like to mix it up which is why I really like big survival MMO's, lots of different stuff to do and SotF could be just like that.
A big update dedicated to the horror and survival aspects as well
That’s all I want, alligators are a long shot I guess but even if their appearance was subtle and rare I would love it
It wouldn’t interfere with cannibals or mutants either really
Could be some side quests of rescuing certain mercenaries, puffcorp employees and vacationers/whatnot and recruiting them as companions after completing the side quest.
Side quests involved with killing and clearing out certain demons, cannibals and mutants would be cool too
BUT perhaps they don’t have to add crocodiles and they could add snakes and lizards instead. After you kill them you could craft reptile armour with their skin
Like the Galapagos lizards that would be freaking amazing!
I guess the point is that their not realistic with the seasons and setting but some lizards and snakes could definitely work out.
Same with cougars and grizzly bears and maybe wolves
They should add dinosaurs !
No reason to be such a goof
I didn't play the first one, but I was serious about the lizards.
And snakes too, they would both fit the gnomes of the Island, obviously they wouldn't be up near the snow.
If need be the Devs could easily adjust the southern portion of the Island to make a bit more tropical, just enough to facilitate those types of beasts.
As for cougars, wolves and bears I'll have to disagree there, the island couldn't sustain it. Maybe one pack of wolves, that might work with all the deer we have. There could be some sweet loot there, like maybe a ton of meat that would get you through a winter.
The jackwagon with the Dinosaur post just doesn't get it lol
Grizzly bears could hibernate during the winter by sleeping in caves.
Wolves could be found on the mountain every other season but during the winter they could be found around the map perhaps in the north portion.
Cougars could be active throughout the ingame year and could be found sleeping in certain caves sometimes as well
Like you said there could be one pack of wolves and bears/cougars could be real rare as well.
With the right balance I could see it totally working.
I live somewhere in Canada it snows hard and gets really cold during the winter but I still see plenty of snakes and lizards during warmer seasons
