I just waited until the lid pops.
Oh duh. I've never used the rain collector. Thanks dude.
Things have changed, all water is dirty now. You can fill your canteen from the turtle shell water collector or from the pot. To get water from the pot you have to choose "clean water" from the recipe list. Once boiled, you can drink it from the pot, save it in there for later or fill your canteen.
Mine aren't leaking but then again I never had that bug before the update so I'm probably not the right guy to answer that question.
You're welcome, glad I could help
FUn fact, the rain collectors freeze in the winter, even if inside next to 4 fires.
Seems like an oversight tbh
yeah, that is the one downside to the rain collectors. If they are placed indoors with a fireplace in the house they shouldn't freeze, hopefully they address this. At least if you are by a stream you can still just boil that water as needed in wintertime.
For sure, I built a lil winter home on a river specifically because of that
Edit: the Canteen is kinda useless since the hydration nerf imo. You only get 2 drinks from it and it only takes u to half full, drinking from the pot seems to give u 3 drinks, each drink refilling half your hydration, but I only briefly messed with it last night for like 20 min
