Think I mightve discovered another log duplication glitch

place 2 logs onto a tree and raise them both with half logs, after they are raised hold one log in your hands and look at the space between the two logs until you get a white line indicating a right angle and then place the log, this action for some reason creates an entirely new log to fill in the empty space, after you do this hit the newly placed logs with an axe and they should pop right off and now you have two logs from one log.

This game is beyond littered with dupe and loot respawn exploits. It will never get fixed. It wasn't fixed in the first game so it's more than likely it won't get fixed here either.

They already fixed a few duplication exploits

A few is a drop of water in a lake. Some are so bad, they can never be fixed simply because of bad game design choices. They fixed a few in the other game too, but the drop in a lake comparison is all the same.
