port forwarding
can someone explain what ports to forward google ahs been no help and the thing just saying "these 3 ports need to be open also they are closed" helps 0% since they never show open even when i open them

go to your router and look for the port forwarding options, as mentioned by Messed add a TCP/UDP option for each port which are the 3 mentioned, then go to windows firewall and make a whitelist of the 3 PORT numbers.

figured it out shortly after this post i hate port forwarding its always a pain in my butt. anyway thanks

Yeah port forwarding , the bane of most self hosted servers. Most routers are configured differently so there is no easy guide. thankfully i figured out how mine works back when Valheim came out. Then used it for Satisfactory, Was planning to for SotF , but my gang lost interest.
