Can't we both have guns?

Hi everyone! Just wondering if this is a bug or if it's intentional, but I gave virginia a handgun and a shotgun, then went to the locations of both after loading a new to respawn them, and when I have them, Virginia doesn't.

Is there no way for us both to have the weapons, or is this a bug? Thanks in advance!

It must be a bug.

There's a bug where she gives you the weapons back. It can be caused by having said gun attached to your backpack for quick access and then opening the backpack.

Give her the weapons and make sure she has them, then save and reload. The guns should respawn and you both should have them, you gotta mess with it but yes it's kinda bugged.

Interesting, I did this very thing. I gave her the weapons I'd just obtained, saved/loaded, grabbed them myself, but as soon as I did, hers vanished...

Maybe they did somehow get automatically assigned to my backpack and that was the root issue? I've not really got the patience to travel again to those locations at the moment just yet, but if anyone else feels like testing this next step, please report with your findings here.

Put them on hotkeys not your backpack.

Make sure they not on a hot bar number before you give them to Virginia. If they are on a hot bar number using the hot bar to equip your gun and shotgun will take away the weapons from Virginia. Assign the original hot bar for your gun and shotgun to a different weapon so both gun and shotgun hot bar are blank then give gun and shot gun to Virginia, go get your new gun and shot gun then hot bar these.

they appear to be referring to the same thing actually, if you have the guns hotkeyed, or on backpack, then give them to virginia, even when you pick up the new guns your OLD guns are still hotkeyed/stored on bp (indirectly), and pressing the hotkey or opening the inventory pulls them from her

there are 2 shotguns and 2 pistols in the game.(not respawning the same one)i gave her the shotgun and the pistol i first found and then went to the other places to get my pair of guns.so we both have pistol and shotgun.i have them in hotkeys and everything.they are different guns so we both can keep them without problem.just give her both first and then go take yours.(and again:don't respawn the same ones find the others)

You gotta hold E and then hit R to navigate off of the first offerings and onto the weapons.

I've seen the different locations for the weapons, and I've attempted to grab duplicates before, but it bounces back saying I've already got one, which made me think they counted as the same, but I suppose this is another theory, one perhaps someday I'll make time to explore.

The weapons count as the same ID, so do not take the same weapon twice from the same location. I have already tried this in my game before and told about this here in discussions. If you give her the weapon the game bugs, because the "same" weapon is both in her inventory and yours at the same time. Worse thing is your weapon attachements will all dissapear if you have them on the weapon and give it to her.

give them to virginia first then grab the other ones.(from the other locations)
