Although I'm sure that results will vary here. Their pathfinding seems wonky at the best of times.
Edit: Also, some berries would get them to go inside. Set some up in there.
its a 2 story 3x4 house with another 2x1 part where the door is so that shouldnt be the issuem imma try putting a fire somewhere maybe that might actually work
Yeah that sounds big enough but they still need a reason to go in there. Fire, berries, chairs and the bed is pretty much what they like to use.
If there is a fire burning outside they'll probably take the easy route and chill there.
Consider yourself lucky that they don't want to enter your house. They are constantly blocking the doorway and have almost caused me to die a couple times during a cannibal attack jamming me in the door like an o!d 3 Stooges tv clip.

Maybe its because I built a fire inside. Then again I did sort of trap them, I built a pretty big defensive wall around my perimeter so they couldn't wander the forest.
You can trap them indoors too if you build locks on your doors. Neither Kelvin or Virginia could unlock and open the door in my game play. However if I went exploring far enough from my base, Virginia teleports out of the base to somewhere on the map.
