I can't say for certain that this is what is causing your problem because it could literally be one of a hundred reasons but that's just some advice in general. Sons of the Forest runs really hot, I can easily imagine notebooks having a hard time with it.
Then there's all the bloatware they come with that could be causing problems, drivers being out of date, Windows simply being broken because it hasn't had a clean install in ages. Could be anything really.
I'm no pro but if I were in your situation and I absolutely couldn't get it to run, I'd probably give windows a clean install to eliminate the possibility of it being a software problem. But like I said, I'm no pro. You basically gotta play elimination and eliminate all possible problems to try and single out what is causing it to crash.
Mine hasn't crashed a single time during many hours of play but that isn't saying much as we have different hardware.
i'm very thankful for your detailed and overall description,By saw others config of laptop which is similar with mine could run it normally.i will base on your suggestion and others experience to find the corrent way run it.finally, thanks for ur comment again.i think that it's very useful for me.
The reason why modern games have so many settings is to fit different hardware specifications!!! Try google your specifications and see if anyone else has a working profile, if there is none, tweak it yourself, try turning everything off/lowest first and turning on one at a time to find your perfect match!!!
your specs sounds good enough.. make sure your hardware is not throttling due to overheating check temps when u run.. if its throttling there is the issue.
Try the settings first before anything. If your other games are working fine. Its not that. You may want to also check your daylight savings time. That can also screw with game timings and slow performance.
First off laptops are not and never will be good gaming machines. They can kind of work at times, and you can definitely limp into the barn performance-wise so to speak, but the extra bulk of desktop components over laptop is NOT cosmetic. The reason my 3080 is 1/3 the overall size of a laptops component-containing half only twice as thick isn't because it's funny, or just to house fans (Though fans are SO important for modern tech) that wouldn't fit into a laptop; the architecture of chipsets and demands of radiators/heat displacement devices these days need tremendous enhancement for full function. To be frank, you may as well be upset that your Hyundai rice-burner with all those after-market parts still can't keep up with whatever next years highest-end sports car model from Porsche will be. Yeah, it's a bit lame that you need so much more for the power desired, but literally nobody in the twenty-seven years the internet has been creeping in to our world has ever been able to actually say with full truth and sincerity that a laptop is or even could EVER be on par with a top of the line tower.
But, I mean even desktops are having huge performance drops at times. You need to recognize what Sons of The Forest is, presently.
This is an EARLY ACCESS GAME that looks like a freaking TRIPLE A release. There are going to be MOUNTAINS of issues because they're still implementing TONS of the game. We don't even know for sure that the island is 100% what the final thing will be! They might add more caves and special hidden locations and objects, not to mention some features are REALLY screwed up yet.
This morning, I grabbed the life raft gear for my current save, and as I got back to the beach and looked up I saw a bird no more than 20-30 feet from me not only look visually affected by a cloud flying over thee MOUNTAIN at least a klick away, but it even created trails in/from the cloud, despite the fact it should have been so far away that would be impossible.
