The zipline gun cave...

Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ man. I can understand wanting to make the cave scary, but the amount of enemies is downright annoying. The cave drains so many resources for such a basic necessary item. When I first entered I though tit was an endgame cave and avoided it, only to find I had to go through in order to progress to the shovel cave. Really feel like they went overboard with this cave.

Glad i'm not the only one who thinks that !! The amount of cannis & mutants in there is bloody crazy ... and yes annoying !!! I use up all my bombs, bullets, molotovs & still die lol!!!!

So this wasn't fixed like they said in the patch notes lol. Before I bought the game I watched some streams and with 4 or 5 people in a cave they only got 4 or 5 enemies, I go in solo and get 30 lol.

I once had five at the same time rushing me. What I did was I retreated so they line up and follow me and then threw grenades which made short work of them. Molotovs also work extremely well on those creeps.

There are many enemies but I don't care! It is more challanging at least and you have to show them your skill. Try to use your granades and bombs for big Hords and also use your gun and molotove coctails there are really strong against these enemies.
If your are thinking about to play with a friends so you can kill them easily don't worry there wil be more enemies or there will be stronger depens on amount of players also if you play multiplayer, the game don't pause when you open your inventory as well you go to the option menu.

Is that the cave with the cross?

I crashed in the forest and found a stun baton right away and also found a modern axe which was awesome. Then when I did the caves I crouched all the way through and used the baton to stun them. Stun then switch to the axe and use heavy swings they rarely detected me until I was real close.

If you find the cross its a lot easier =D

What's most absurd. The caves are the hardest locations in the game, but you get most of the good weapons after you get the shovel, which means that you have to get through three caves to get the weapons you need to defeat the enemies in those caves.

So the easiest thing to do is to just run around the enemies in the caves and fight only where a group of enemies is blocking a narrow passage, preferably using molotovs or explosives to clear those passages.

I thought the same. It is weird that all the fun stuff is gated behind the shovel. At least the compound bow should be findable without the shovel to balance the progression.

The shotgun isn't that overpowered unless you heavily abuse respawn of items after loads, because although the shotgun is powerful, shotgun ammo is relatively scarce.

The shotgun is OP only in the hands of Virginia, who has unlimited ammo.

You are right, because those caves are supposed to be the most challenging places and yet we get the tools that would make sense to use them there later when there is not much more to do other than building bases for fun.
