Hang glider improvements suggestion
After using the hang glider quite a bit, I've come up with three things that I think would make it less finicky to use, particularly while walking around and carrying it.

1. Deploying should be manual, not automatic when falling.
While running up hills, sometimes the game doesn't recognize that your walking, and will think that your sliding up the hill instead. If this happens while carrying the hang glider, it will attempt to deploy, you'll immediately land, and then you'll drop the hang glider (which is another problem I'm going to address) and it goes tumbling down the hill. A solution to this would be to make the hang glider be manually deployed by left clicking.

2. The hang glider shouldn't be dropped when landing.
If I want to drop the hang glider, I can do that myself. The game shouldn't make the assumption that when you land, you're done using the hang glider, and that you want it to be placed where you landed. Immediately dropping it is almost never helpful and makes no sense logically.

3. One-handed carrying while on the ground shouldn't be exclusive to the right hand.
Currently, you can carry the hang glider with only your right hand if you pull out the GPS tracker or your lighter. However, you can't do the same with your left hand while eating mushrooms or berries. I understand not allowing players to carry weapons or eat foods that have a two-handed eating animation, but I should still be able to eat small, foraged foods while carrying the hang glider.

There should also be a kickstand-type object that you can build in the base. It's kinda annoying to put it down somewhere only to find it somewhere else later because Kelvin, some deer or moose, or Virginia kicked it around.

Also, If you can't pack it away in your inventory, you should be able to attach a GPS tracker to it.

I was just going to start a thread with a question regarding the glider but figured maybe I should ask it here.

If you park a glider somewhere/at your base, save game and quit….will it be there when you reload? Or will it vanish and return to its original spawn point?

Sorry if this is a bit of a derail.

Yeah, from my experience, it stays where you parked it, which actually kinda surprised me. I was expecting it to get reset, too.

It "stays" where you parked it unless Kelvin, Virginia, or something else kicks it around. If it's not where you left it, that's probably the reason why.

suggestions
- Glider should be marked on map or able to put tracker on
- Gliders cannot increase altitude regardless of speed, this is annoying

They can. Although kinda tricky since tilting back too much slows you down quicker.

Tilting downward to pick up speed, returning to neutral (bubble in the circle), and then tilting up very slightly (approximately the bottom of the bubble touching the top of the circle) will have you gain altitude.
