How to use hanglider?? cant stop diving straight down.

Im probably just dumb but, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use it. Im at the top of the snowy mountain and every time i manage to get it to start gliding i just dive straight down no matter what and i cant figure out why... im about to just walk it down to my base lmafo...

You have to press moment key I dont remember to glide up. You must be high up too cuz I think there more wind up there and u will be easily control and glide around

it's aviation controls, so W which is forward normally, will point you down and nose dive. S will pull you back and slow you down, A and D for left and right respectively. G to land when near the ground.

Make sure you aren't looking down toward your feet or your destination. You should be looking up at the top of your hang glider when you leap, then S key to go up, then you can take your bearings.

edit: Or maybe this doesn't work either. I've left the hang glider behind as too dangerous and finicky to bother with.
