How do I drop items?

I picked up some stones, push G to drop them, but they just seem to go in the inventory instead

But it doesn't drop. The small rocks I can just throw away, but the big rocks I can't throw, and when I push G it just returns to my inventory

Okay. Didn't know that. I know logs drop that way. Maybe it's just something the devs have over looked for now and apologies I could help.

Inventory will only hold so many big rocks , after a while you will stop picking up big rock or sticks or small rocks. If you don't want to be holding a large rock put something else in your hand from your inventory.

Like Cyanide said, equip something else. In any case if you just keep hitting the "G" key repeatedly the item will either go into your inventory or it will drop. You will figure it out.

Technically you can't drop an item from your inventory unless it's rotten meat I think. Pressing "G" functions more like putting an item away. The only times you actually drop the item on the floor is like if you have a full inventory of rocks and you held down "E" to equip one off the ground. Then you'll drop that extra rock. But you can't just drop the rest of the rocks in your inventory.

yeah, you cant seem to drop inventory items. if, for example, you pick up a bunch of enemy arms and legs ... and now, you want these nasty things out of your inventory ... You cant. Unless you cook them and eat them. that's the only way. So, bon appetit.
