ummm no. if you're right handed, your dominant arm, your stronger arm is your draw arm.
Well as a right handed person that makes no sense to me. I'd hold it just like it's held in the game.
I'm a left handed person that has done Archery in the past.
I hold the bow with my right hand and draw the arrow with my left hand despite being a left handed.
You generally hold the weapon on the opposite hand to your dominant hand.
Hope this helps :)
then you're doing it wrong, if you're right handed you hold the string and draw the arrow back with your right hand.
The only reasonable explanation at the time is:
Devs have designed for (equip-able) light source items e.g lighter/flashlight to be held in the left-hand of your character. So when you're wielding the Bow, you can still press 'L' and hold the lighter/flashlight simultaneously. But once you draw the arrow ready-to-shoot, then the lighter/flashlight is unequipped and you're shooting in the dark (if at night or in cave).
I wouldn't say I'm doing it "wrong" when I'm holding it in my strong hand so that I can better control and point the weapon but what do I know, I have guns and those are pointed with the right hand as well.
If devs can change or at least give an option to switch would be better
Pull a 200lb compound bow with your left hand, see how that works out for you.
I can pull it easily, I've done it several times. Maybe I have a stronger left hand than most.
So yes, you're doing it wrong. The "strong" (dominant) arm is used for drawing and aiming, the other arm for simply bracing it, which doesn't require strength. But hey, you do you.
some people just live to be wrong and are proud of it
Or some people just don't have useless left hands, I deal cards with my left hand while holding the deck in my right hand as well. To each their own, as long as the arrow hits the mark.
Well in your first post you stated that "that's how right handed people shoot a bow".
We're not debating your personal rando style, but your first statement was 99.9% wrong.
