I don't think the glider will be much use as the whole island slopes up towards the mountain. I used to play Archeage a few years ago and gliders were very useful there but the whole map was full of hills and mountains you could hop between. I think a paramotor would be far more useful in Sons as you could take off from anywhere, not just up the mountain. It also needs to store in the inventory. I've used my glider just once to fly from the mountain to my base near the beach, the lowest point on the map. I can't see myself ever using it again.

Unfortunately rather than filling out the map and making it worthwhile to explore the non-story required regions, they decided to leave the map an empty wasteland and instead add unicycles which are a complete pain in the ass to use and are probably just as slow as walking.
Can't believe we are 6 months into release and all of the content is still located on the same small portion of the map (except the last area which means you need to travel haflway across the map, encountering nothing along the way).
