Stick fence too easy to destroy?

The stick fence is too easy to destroy, isn't it? In my settings, the damage for buildings is turned off. But as soon as i stumble or have to sneeze, my beloved stick fence falls apart.

try putting rocks at the base of the fence to reinforce them, it'll help a lot

It's the only way to reinforce them unfortunately. Same with stick traps.
