Fire keeps going out

So my Fireplace keeps extinguishing after a few seconds even though I have it filled with firewood. Any way to make it last longer?

for now, seems like the fire length was over corrected. I switched to wall torches for the time being as a light source in my base. The optimizations they made seemed to make the torches use up less computing power so its smooth.

they've updated it so it's more realistic.

Same issue here.
Fireplace goes out like within 30 sec max. That even with the fire wood added.

Looks like you might need to tear down and rebuild your campfires.

I tore down all my reinforced campfires, rebuilt, added the firewood and they've been lit for 5 mins and counting now.

Edit: changed "me campfires" to "my campfires" so I don't sound like a pirate

I've had the same issue with the fire since patch , including my reinforced campfires totally disappearing in front of me 10 seconds after i build them and add the firewood.

Same, regardless of adding fuel firewood, few seconds then nothing, not even enough time to cook the meat off a head. *agitated noises*

Mine all have fiewood added plus I've added leaves, money (hundreds of each) and they still go out within seconds. Fires are currently broken imo

was it raining/snowing? that may have an effect though I'm not sure it's even coded to do so, my fires were burning for a respectable length of time since the update

Yes I believe it is coded in. I have noticed it the first time I encountered snow in this game.

Same thing is happening to me. Tried making new fires, reinforcing them, adding firewood, building under shelter. Nothing works and they all go out in 30 seconds, which really blows cause it's day 2 winter for me
