title says it all, add a sword, just feels right. Make it have a slow speed, high chance of cutting a limb off, i wanna feel like a knight

If they added a pick axe to the game and somehow implemented a forging system where you could forge a medieval sword and armour, that would be cool. Then you could go in caves and mine for coal/ore. They would have to add extra areas in current caves and rework the caves a bit.

I would actually like a mining system where you could reinforce your wood structures with metal. Going full medieval may take it too far, but the second they added it I know everyone would damn well love it. So maybe we should get it.

yea honestly thats true, cant let the game go full medieval sim, but the idea of mining resources (perhaps the gold you see in caves) and refining it to either make items, build stuff, or reinforce stuff.

I think a European sword at least would be pretty cool. Katana's in my opinion have a bad stigma behind them being associated with "Western Anime enthusiasts" as I will call them. Claymores and longswords however are based
