How to make defensive wall gate?

Doesnt pop up in the book for me currently

Fence gate? Like with sticks?

7 logs in a perfect line, so when the dashed line snaps in place.
Then make the spike at the top and go with a log right to it. It should be placeable then.

Edit: How does it not pop up in your book? It was in the book since the game came out. But wasnt useable. It is in the "right" book where it tells you how to do it. You cant place it like a blueprint

its fixed just buggy and really picky of where you can place the gate which is annoying best bet is still to make a door imo

It's not in my book at all. Not even before the update or after. I am on an existing save but everything else (as far as I can tell) seems to have updated just fine.

I went in game to experimented and figured it out. I must have glitched my book at some point.

The gate is a bit wonky. If you're not standing at just the right spot when it's open, you can't activate it.

And twice now I've tried to close it, and it closes leaving me outside of my defensive wall. I clip right through the door as it closes. Not good when trying to close it quickly due to a cannibal attack.
