Next I'd suspect power supply. If you have inadequate power available for the heavy CPU and GPU load SOTF require, that would totally restart the system. Not knowing what hardware you actually have, this is hard to say.
Once those issues have been ruled out, the next thing I would suggest is possibly a hardware failure somewhere. Potentially bad RAM.
The amount of Ram doesn't matter if the there is a faulty stick. Most PC rebooting or shutting down issues are heat related, PSU issue or memory issue. PSU that is undersized or on it's way out is usually top of the list.
