Please remove tinnitus from explosions (Or give us the option)
(Title) Some of us suffer from this, please consider changing the audio or adding an option in the settings to mute this sound.

Thank you, the game is amazing

I have tinnitus and don’t understand your reasoning for wanting it removed, just cause it reminds you you have it?

My only gripe with it is it seems if you set off en explosive from far enough away you won’t hear it, but if you walk to where the explosion happened it’ll start to happen.

I have diagnosed BPPV on my right inner ear and loud sudden noises (specially tinnitus) cause me headaches. I'm not saying just remove it outright, they can simply add an option.

For the getting away part, kinda difficult in caves! ha!

And for all the rest of us who not only do not suffer from this, but do not understand what you live with, this is possibly the only time any of us will experience it, and you want to deny us that? How else might we ever understand what you live with?

A "Tinnitus > Off/On" option might be fine for you, but you can bet your last shilling there will be plenty of folks who would see this, turn it off thinking it's going to buy them an extra FPS maybe two whole FPS, because they don't know what it is, and they'll just plain miss out as well.

I will agree though, that the game is quite excellent.

So you're saying having a toggle option would confuse people?...

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dude, I don't even know what to say to that.

Not only that. but accessibility features should be one of the last things that should be considered when it comes to an early access title from an Indie studio like this.

Look at it from business perspective. What percentage of people that actually play this game do you think actually have a diagnosis that makes this irritating. What percentage of those DO ACTUALLY find it necessary to have it off?

I bet I could count those numbers on my fingers.

Investing time into such a minor feature from a business standpoint is objectively a bad decision.
Sorry to say OP---But you are irrelevant. If you have such a condition, you should be glad that you can play games in the first place. Anything else you should consider as a thrown in bonus.
You are not the target audience.

Mate, you making it seem like I'm asking for VR support, this is literally just replacing the explosion sound with a toggle option.

Target audience? irrelevant? Wanna do a pool asking "Would you like your explosions sounds to come with tinnitus? Yes/no" And see how "small" that percentage is.

You know nothing about me, I already finished the game and enjoyed the hell out of it.

Such a dumb comment.

Until then, maybe just turn down your sound volume when you throw a bomb, cant be that difficult. Its reasonable request but I dont think they will highly focus on this feature when its not going to cover at least 50% of players needing/wanting this feature. its called priorities here

Absolutely, I'm just making a request. I'm not saying for them to stop development of other features to accomodate me, thats absurd.

Every hour costs. Such a little request has to go through the internal processes before it is even added to the sprint. Then someone has to code it and test it.
It is not a click of a finger, VR or not.

Not only are you acting like an entitled brat, but you also are also ignorant of how what I have told you.

Look. You either accept the reality for what it is, or continue bragging here with your attitude. You definitely won't win any other sympathies.

If you think a public poll will help you---Go right ahead. Nobody will stop you.
You can go to change.org if you think that helps lol.

Go beat on a hollow pipe with a hammer and put your ear near it. Guarantee you'll get to experience it for a bit. Lol

I'll agree with the op.. It'd be nice to have the option to disable it or at least access to replace/delete that particular sound file for it if it's gonna be such an uproar about a simple toggle switch.. And not just this game but in all games that try to mimick "reality" .. I suffer from tinnitus too and the only way I can get rid of it is to forget I have it which is near impossible when it's all you can hear, the moment I hear a high pitch noise it reminds me of it again and it starts to drive me mad for the next few hours.. Like right now, this thread alone is setting it off... All you people that don't suffer from tinnitus and commenting here about how there shouldn't be a toggle feature, or how you "want the experience of what it's like", at least when the sound ends for you, you can enjoy the peace of no noise at all, at least YOU can mute it at will, we can't, all we can do is try to avoid things that set it off.

I feel for you op, and I completely support this motion
OR be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ man and stop ruining ♥♥♥♥ for everyone else. Yes I have it too from being a mortarman, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ live with it.....

Sending virtual hugs bro.

Ignore this hater, definitely doesn't have anything else going on in his life.

For what its worth, I did a pool on my twitter, as of right now with 100 votes, 38.2% of people would turn it off, 61.8% would keep it on.

This guy is trying to convince us we are irrelevant which is laughable.

(not sure if my comment will be removed if post the link to the pool)

I personally don't mind the sound but a toggle for people that feel bothered by it due to medical reasons would be highly appreciated. It shouldn't be hard to implement.
