Not that long. Winter comes and goes fast, seasons seem pointless.

are you playing with realistic season length ? im 31 days in and no change yet

normal - i think every 4 day/night cycles

longer - is like 10 day/night cycles i think, give or take

realistic - i have HEARD is around 90 day/night cycles but it could be lower or higher i never tried it

you can skip days by just sleeping so, if youre on the brink of spring and just want to get there faster you can just sleep and speed it up for example

It does, winter is annoying. Thats how it effects gameplay.

It's annoying the same way it is IRL, so it does make sense

I was on day 47(?) and never saw the seasons change on realistic.

contray to those who rushing thru game at a billion speed a hour. seasons right now have limited game-play hit. notice the key word "limited" later temps and being wet and such wil have a much more impact.

for seasons i recommend leave on normal til they put in a better tweak system for it. fo rme i would like around 2 week seasons. currently seasons are 5 days on normal.

From what i can tell, it's like it says on the tin: realistically. I played for a few hours with the time set to be realistic and to sleep a LOT to get to sunrise. It's reasonable to assume to get through spring to winter, you'll be playing for about 365 game days.

Personally I like winter, less foliage and you can see between trees better. As someone that hate muddies to his very core. It makes them much easier to spot and kill.

Honestly that's what I was thinking as well, why say realistic and not have a full year worth of game days.

winter less animals and frozen lake mean no fish

Not sure, i'm on day 115 (80+ hours playtime) now, and it's fall. No snow yet.

Are you playing on realistic? I saw a comment at some point, that seasons are super long on realistic. Of course, might be bugged as well. Don't really mind personally, i like that the game doersn't feel like it's on fast forward, like every damn survival game out there.

Edit: Realistic as in Custom game --> seasons: realistic
