New spear????

It could be nice if they maybe added a better spear for closerange battle with the kanibals. Maybe a spear with a metal tip from an broken arrow or you can craft a metal spear from iron you can find in caves and you need to craft in a crafting station so we have more closerange weapons. Guns are not my first weapon choise.

Someone else suggested this and I had a hard time figuring out how you would craft a spear head with no traditional blacksmithing supplies. Reusing or consuming the crossbow bolt / carbon fiber arrowheads to make a spear without actually forging the spear head is brilliant. I really like your idea and would love to see that implemented.

Tape knife at the end of crafted spear = better spear.

I would greatly enjoy a harpoon.

On first read I was like why would I need a better spear? The current spear is great for mp in caves, less FF, it one shots to the head if thrown most cannis.

Then I realized I need a harpoon.
