Only ponds and seas freeze. River or Lakes and waterfalls dont freeze.

This one doesn't freeze over. To build in the middle of the lake, you need to create a horizontal scaffolding system with logs (place logs in a straight line into the water with a perpendicular log at each end to raise them to ground level).
The only issue is that you'll have babies stuck under your base when they show up, and it's not really viable to bring Kelvin or Virginia into it with you (you certainly try via smacking them with the repair hammer for 0 damage).
Yeh .. was the lake i was on with the 'babies' !! Since moved now to the lake/pond smack bang in the middle of the snow which is frozen.
Thanks for all ur help guys.
anyway, There few large lake and pound that frozen in winter. Those u can build on before melt and ur structure will stay
