Rain/Snow inside base
Anyone getting rain/snow texture popping in and out inside your base? Is it a glitch or structure issue? Can there not be any open spaces in your walls? Struggling to find an answer.

I don't know if it's normal but in ultra I have antler popping on the grass or plants, that is, when I run it's as if they were charging, I have the distance in ulra and the textures at full

Yes, I see patches of snow inside one of my bases. It also snows inside the roof in one of my smaller homes. Everything is sealed up too, but snow appears on the wood beams and it snows above my head, with the snow flakes culling at the level of the horizontal beams.

I’m getting the same issue. It’s super frustrating. Maybe has to do with angled roofs.

It comes and goes depending on camera view, wich is strange

I've found that that 45 degree ramps are not being recognized as ceilings. Making them more shallow seems to help in some cases, but is not a perfect solution. I think there's a bug happening. It shouldn't be wet and cold inside a cabin.

I had a nice little cube house with two floors (a roof) and a fire. When it rains I get wet. When it snows I'm cold.

come on man, we need fix for that, one time i got attacked in the base fixed everything after that and from that attack and after i get rain and snow inside... plz fix it asap it is ruining the immersion!
There's still a bug as of now. I have a platform on one of my server that doesn't even get snow on it. No pillars, no roof, just a 4-sided platform in an open area that I use to attach a rope bridge onto. Whilst inside my base there is a room without windows and is completely sealed that manages to get covered with snow all over. It's actually covering all areas of my base.

I did an experiment. I built various floors and fitted them with various types of slanted walls and roofs. In my game, slanted walls (the ones you fill with floorboards) do not stop snow and will not seal your base from the cold. As soon as I seal those slanted sections off, my base stops the cold again.

I also built a custom cabin, with 4 cells and a 2 sided slanted roof /|\ and that did stop the snow and was capable of sealing. But as soon as I build a single slant /| that would no longer stop the snow.

This needs to be fixed asap because at the moment building is just not fun if I cant end up with a functional building in the end.

All well observed and I think that should be fixed, but one thing is still missing. As soon as you enter your house, the sounds from outside should only be perceived very quietly, so that you also get the feeling of being in an interior.
Storm, rain and snow should be heard only slightly.

Yeah just spent alot of time building a large cabin on the center of the lake where the sunken boats are, the next winter hit and I was finishing the interior on the 2nd floor and had snow in the corner where the floor meets the of my 45 degree pitched roof. I had to floor the whole 2nd floor until its patched. Unfortunately.

Any structure made of just logs shouldn't completely block out the cold or rain. I mean there are tons of gaps and stuff between the logs and boards.

It should only give you partial protection. To get full protection they should take a page from Medieval Dynasty and have something to insulate your building.

It would give more use for the shovel, which you'd have to use to dig up mud or clay or something, and then use that mud or clay to fill the gaps between logs and planks and block the cold and rain.

Mud and leaves to make chinking or let you hang up tarps or animal skins or all 3 would dope

Tarps would be good. It would give them more use for the million you end up collecting. Then again, they should probably reduce the number of tarp spawns in the crates. If they reduced the tarps it might get too hard to insulate.

The leaves don't really seem to serve any real purpose. Even if they make leaf armor, you never seem to run out, so nobody is ever prompted to go into the inventory to check the number of leaves they have.

Leaves would probably be the best. The mud would give the shovel more use, and the leaves are easy to get, so it would add something to do without being too tedious and or hard to collect. Plus combining it could be another thing to craft, which people have been asking for and another structure to build in the base (some kind of bin to store it in).

Strange I have everything sealed off and no gaps whatsoever and yet I still get snow popping inside my base
