Has anyone tried building on a frozen lake?

If you build on a frozen lake, will your structure float on the water when spring comes or will it be destroyed? Can you even build on a frozen lake? I'd try it myself but I can't be at a PC for a while.

Yes you can put supports on the frozen lake. I also put a campfire on a frozen lake and come spring its floating in air.

I have built a 4 log/leg platform middle piece for rope bridge, because bridge alone can't be that long over the part of the lake. And it looks cool when water is not frozen.
