So the cave system....
Compared to The Forest, how finished is the Cave system in Sons of the Forest? Like on a percentage scale and also are they as scary or scarier and do you still piece together a story in your adventure? Really curious because I'm playing a lot of The Forest which I haven't ever played and was wondering how better off I would be to get this one after I'm done.

Get this game in about 2 years time, as of now the game offers nothing new (aside from custom building) that The Forest hasn't already done so.

The cave system is a huge downgrade, caves don't connect to a bigger cave, no verticality in any of them, and all of them only go from point A to point B. No interconnected caves at all.

I'd say the cave system is probably only like 25% done. There are only 3 caves to explore and they only take 10 minutes max, the other caves are just empty spaces with loot that you'll likely can't pick up because you already have all the items

Well, from what I have seen in first Forest, it has cave design with more obstacles. In new game, caves might have few T junctions and/or need to dive/make/use of zipline. Other than that is plain walking. For early start it's fine. But some people might want something of more crazier design. Scary? dunno, I'm no fan of "horror" genre, but nor this game, neither all Dead spaces succeeded at frightening me at this age :) (if you 14 and you believe monsters are living under your bed, then yes, all of this is scary as well :D )
