Laser pointer / Flashlight useless on some weapons?

So.. There is the laserpointer and flashlight attachment which you can put on the pistol/shotgun/crossbow, but if you put the laserpointer or flashlight on the shotgun it is on the top rail which makes at it kinda weird cause you cant aim propperly anymore (except with the laser from the hip)

Putting the laserpointer on the crossbow is another story because it is COMPLETELY USELESS and contraproductive since you can't fire the crossbow from the hip and when you aim the crossbow the laser blocks your line of sight and you can't even see where it points or what you are aiming at.

Is this gonna be fixed any time soon or is it simply intendet and bad game design?

All those things fits perfectly on the gun but nothing else, so i think they have just added those in for now so they can work it all out eventually.

Try finding the red dot sight first. And then put the others on?

There is a red dot sight? I used the game console to get all items but I havent seen any optical sight yet

There is a red dot sight? I used the game console to get all items but I havent seen any optical sight yet

I was 99% sure i saw one in the thumbnail of a youtube video yesterday. But checking it now, maybe that was just the laser that looked like one..

I haven't found it myself yet, so haven't been able to test it out. But i'm 99 percent sure i saw on in the thumbnail of a youtube yesterday. I wanna find it by myself though, so didn't check where it was.

well as I said, I've used the game console a few days ago with the "addallitems" command but haven't seen a red dot sight, either I overlooked it or they added it in with a silentpacht / hotfix.

Yeah, i had to check if i could find the thumbnail again. It was probably just the laser that kind of looked like one.

One of those items. I think it was the flashlight? You're able to see the reticle underneath. So you can add that one to the crossbow if you want.

Ok, so I have loaded up the game and used the "addallitems" command and taken a close look at both of the weapon cases and I can tell you there is no red dot sight, only the laser and flashlight.

Laser is indeed, for firing from the hip only, laser doesn't do anything when ads other than being on the way of your sight. As this has always been this way on any shooter game.

What's wrong with the crossbow .. ???

The only thing I really think is good for light in caves is the wall torch which gets tedious putting those things up and taking them down and throwing a flare so I can see to use my bow ..

With THE FOREST we had a flashlight that easily attached to the bow .. again, I think we should have a headlamp .. but then you'll need hundreds of batteries which for me are hard to come by .. .
