i really want to keep a stock of armor and rope and bones. bones yeah. and it seem to be able to store enough armor in inventory. but the ropes. i cant count the number of times i come across rope and cant carry more only to burn through it all in my inventory in a matter of a 30 minute blowout sometimes. would be awesome if there is a way im unaware of.

Use rope on log to climb but instead store it on log will that work ok? Take back when needed.

You can flip through the things you'll see when trying to place something on a shelf.
Though not sure which button it would be on a controller.
