chivalry is not dead bug?

I'm on day 32 with a friend who got the achievement in game days ago but it won't pop for me. I do all the standard stuff; don't hold a weapon when she approaches, don't move, pick up/ eat the items she brings, follow her to loot. I've gotten more then 30 thumbs up but nothing yet. Am I missing something?

Wish they would include some more visibility, and some direct dev transparency, as to exactly where you're at on her progression gauge, since the achievement is currently the only way to tell, and that's not especially helpful most of the time. Sorry I don't have much constructive to tell ya, only sharing your concern, but I can confirm that the achievement does work for what it's worth.

EDIT: OH, well that's something to consider. Is your friend the host of the game? If so, perhaps that's why HE got the achievement, and not YOU. It wouldn't surprise me if the companions and a few other things are host-only, no confirmation on that yet though.

Is your friend hosting and you just playing on his server?
If so - it’s his Virginia, get your own shotgun wielding girlfriend, when you are hosting or in single player.

give her a gun and react on her warinings. If she points a canibal, kill em. Follow her, let her eat and wash daily, before move on.

Don't try to get this on MP since it seems only one player goes lucky.

Go to SP and try to

• if you hit or slashed her restart the game, she pretty much won't forgive in such a set
  
• never go towards her
  
• always keep all objects holstered when she's around you
  
• don't look at her directly
  
• build garden racks and place all kinds of berry seeds so she comes feeding
  
• build a nice building with a bed a bench and a fire place in there for her
  
• always back off little by little when she gets near
  
• act like you don't care about her at all until she comes to you and the interaction buttons appear
  
• if enemies try to go at her kill them all and protect her

For me it worked after about 3-4 days spending time in the camp seeing her leaving and coming, leaving and coming over and over again throughout those days. I was actually busy with some ground work (digging, pushing dead bodies on the floor away, etc) when she suddenly approached me and I saw interaction icons for her.

From there on you can give her guns and work on the setiment achievement with her.

- i often got to her
- i mostly always wear a weapon
- I often look at her directly, she looks back and then turn to search something for me.
- never build garden stuff, but placed by camps close to berries and water. she likes washing and berries.
+ watching sunset at different locations with her

Then you already have her trust and none of the above tipps apply since she's not afraid anymore.

From there on I did this, maybe it helps you too:

• Ran around with her (see further down below)
  
• When she wanted to show me something I followed her, always being a bit in front of her so she can watch/see me caring about her
  
• Created ground or stick fires for her when she was sitting down or just randomly when we weren't going anywhere together
  
• When she sat down during the (not cold) day I just waited patiently until she gets up again to move on
  
• Protected her from enemies
  
• Gave her pistol and shotgun so she can try to be brave as well (actually after a short while she took down all enemies before I was even able to notice them lol)
  
• When, during our travels, we were nearby lakes or waterfalls I would stop and let her "catch route" where she would then go to and enjoy herself bathing and alike
  
• Accept of all her gifts
  
• ("See further down below part here:) Someone somewhere on the net mentioned something about her dancing to music, so my main goal was to get to a radio while being accompanied by her. Having had my main base behind the snowy mountain near the end bunker, I had to travel quite a while (I decided for the modern axe location to go to) and I think this journey (with multiple saves in between) was an important thing for the relation between me and virginia
  
  When you feel like she's heading off and not following you and you don't want that -> walk up to her, press E or whatever your interaction button is, then close the exchange menu, and take some distance. When she runs up to you you are good to continue your journey. Always make sure you don't leave her behind because - as you said - she likes to get some berries or bath or sit down and stuff.
  
  Over the course of about 4-5 days I finally received the achievement of reaching 100% sentiment with virginia. Good luck :)

Just the host can get the achievement in MP. You should just make sure your friend/s don't scare her off because it will take you longer to get the achievement.

It should be noted that it's entirely possible to cram her Sentiment gauge all the way up to accepted, where she will comfortable receive items you're able to give her without spooking and jogging away, within a single in-game day. Easiest way to do this is to corner her on the shore and actively engage with her, in that you're remaining within her line of sight, and pathing yourself into her path each time she stops her jogging retreat and she turns around and continues walking. I'm convinced that all the little interactions aren't at all required, but simply increase her invisible timer faster, but if you manipulate pathing to keep her nearby, she acclimatizes to you much faster than usual. My only caution would be to avoid harming her, directly or otherwise, and make sure cannibals don't get to her, and try not to panic her too much (maximum speed sprinting retreat rather than her slower jogging retreat where she turns back around within view).

This was done in the save where I very soon after unlocked the Chivalry Isn't Dead achievement.

she won't forgive me? I hurt her accidentally but after a few days she came back and give me a blueberry just like we just meet.

I can't believe nobody mentioned yet you should not only give her presents such as the pistol and shotgun as a priority but also different clothing you can find at various locations. Don't leave her in the swimsuit forever.

I had the same question but mine eventually popped. It seems like it is really alot longer to max out her meter than people expected. just keep with it and eventually you should get it.
