Having both systems would allow you to blueprint walls that Kelvin (and maybe others if they get added) could help you build. It also tests the limitations to see what can go where, I spent my time building a wall just to find out I couldn't fill a large opening
From the Q+A of developers, it sounds something like this may be added in future.
If you spend more time building, you won't notice how empty the map is despite being massive.
Found houses in my time exploring, a set of two houses and they were empty, as if incomplete lol. They have shafted us real good this time around.
exactly this. Blueprint your structures so others can see what your planning. Much better system. really annoyed they have taken this out. one log at a time really is not fun
