Traps are dissapointing
I am really worried about future traps, as I found the existing ones very underwhelming. Traps in The Forest were unrealistic when you were looking close enough but they were very believable from afar. At first I thought the fly swatter trap was meant to block the way but it insta kill and even behead enemies like Whaaaat ? Three sticks and a rope ?! Seriously ? I don't find it believable even from very far

I don't like the bonemaker either, I don't like the fact that it impales enemies AND set them on fire. Why not making an impaling trap AND a fire trap ? I'm big enough to set them close enought to be triggered at the same time if i want to overkill my ennemies. The trap could work without the molotov why do we HAVE to put a molotov, impaling them is enough

they will add more traps, in the forest 1 they were 3 traps and only 1 use only

so they will add more and more just give them suggestion in the thread for it they are listening to us

I agree. Been playing for a few days now and I don’t get why the bone maker trap needs fire. If you play solo, your AI companion will reset it if you have him “maintaining base” and when you reset it, the body that is trapped will drop and trigger the trap again, causing it to burn again and it keeps injuring my AI buddy so I have to constantly revive him.
The stupid thing for me is that the spring trap doesn’t catch animals like deer so I HAVE to use the bone maker to catch animals. Which doesn’t make much sense given that they trigger exactly the same way… I don’t get it!
Even when I personally reset the bone maker, the body drops and triggers it again.. it’s a really janky mechanic I hope they fix. Why can’t I take the body off the trap first???
I admit I haven’t tried the Hokey Pokey trap but man that’s a lot of resources and space and I really don’t like the design so I don’t wanna deal with them. Also haven’t tried the spring or leaf traps but as far as I know they don’t work for animals.
