Animal traps not working

I have fish and small animal traps and all they do is set themselves off and theres never an animal in it :(

The birdhouse works tho!

Fish need to be in a fish pond, not a river. You need to be able to see the fish and able to spear them.
Animal traps do work, just have to keep resetting them. I set up 4 near each other so anything running past is bound to get caught.

Ok good to know! My human traps are definatley messed up. I set them up, walked away and looked away for a second. I looke back at the traps and all of them were sprung! Nuuuu lol
