What's with the golden armor?

This is an endgame piece that seemingly does nothing at all. 3 or 4 hits from Muddies and you're dead. It is quite literally a tenth as good as leaf armor. Is there supposed to be some benefit to the armor in the final bunker that I'm not aware of b/c spoilers?

I'm aware of the door, I'm saying its use in replacing the entire armor system as its own, indestructible set is useless considering it doesn't even give you much protection from hits.

Read the wiki. It doesn't act as armor at all against normal enemies - only the special ones you find near the end, for which it is the best armor in the game. Doesn't really make realistic sense that it does nothing, but that's its purpose.

I imagine a tribe will worship you if you find the right tribe. This is pure guess as I haven't played more than an hour yet.

Nah, THey do have worship but they never will to u. It feel like it very slightly reduce damage in exchange of never broke armor. It not good I say. I rather lose armor rather than health but I guess it could be use for show off u are golden boi now and if u want em to worship u then I guess golden mask will do hehhehheh not everyone of them tho

its purely a KEYITEM. nothing else. it has no other use. it doesnt give you armor. and armor in this game isnt armor like in most games. armor here only gives you extra health. this is also why no armor is permanent.

this armor gives you ZERO stat bonuses. its purely for opening the one door. thats it. after that you take it off and forget it exists.

Well you can have different views at things.. I like that the golden armor removes any armor you was wearing.. for example 2 bone armor, 3 tech armor and 1 creepy armor.. now I wear the golden armor because I have crafted 7 tech armor and can wear a whole set now.. try seeing it like this.. the golden armor looks cool tho..

the problem is if you do that WHILE haveing armor equipped AND haveing spare armor in your inventory of the same type you wear the golden armor will DELETE it from existence. a known bug.

its effective against demons that can be burned with a cross but from simple cannibals doesnt work and this armor activates smth if you havent reach that part. good luck
