where are the arrows? mine are missing!

Hi, I've collected arrows from various places, but they never appear in my kit. I've built a bow, but have nothing to fire from it! There were arrows in shelves that I picked up and some in a dead body, but I just can't find them anywhere. Any idea?

Are you sure you collected arrows and not bolts? I've collected a lot of bolts off the start of the game but finding arrows takes a lot more effort. Can't fire bolts unless you have the crossbow.
And you can easily make lots of arrows right from the start of the game. Just gotta get a handful of feathers off any of the birds.

There are no bolts ingame. Modern x-bows are using arrows (penetration missiles, low weight and slim, max 20 gram) and not bolts (impuls missiles, high weight and thick, min. 25 gram, many over 50 gram)

Crafted bow - Crafted arrows
Not crafted bow - Carbon fiber arrows
Crossbow - crossbow Bolts.

So, your arrows should be on the inside cover of your ammo boxes in your inventory. Also, this may help if you want to change what arrows are loaded look down at your bow and hit R.

There are bolts in-game and a crossbow in-game. There's trailer that shows it, there's let's play videos that show these. One of the 3 spawns actually has bolts relatively right nearby to loot.

If they're called bolts in the game, there's certainly bolts in the game and they're called bolts! Regardless how long you studied the difference between bolts and arrows. 🤦🏻‍♂️

OK I found carbon arrows and bolts hidden in the lid of the orange box. How do i now get my wooden bow to use the arrows? If I equip the bow it doesn't show any arrows or any clue on how to use them!

In the old game you had to look down and hold R. Dunno if it's the same. Or those are only usable with the compound bow?

Look down at press R to change between arrow types with bow equipped.

On the inventory mat, mouseover/open the boxes and look in the lid, if u wanna see how many u got of each.

yea it is that. I have my crafted bow with metal arrow
I start over in hard mode and rushing getting all gear soo very early I lucky chop bird soo I finally have basic arrow to camping kill skinny cave mutant but they not blind. They f and king know where I am all the time

Yes the X-bow arrows are called bolts ingame.

had the same problem today. For other players the solution: There is a black suitcase in the top center of the inventory. Open it and on the inside of the lid you will see the arrows (20 arrows are maximum)
