You need to look at any object you built, it doesn't matter if it is a wall, a torche or a lightbulb, just look at it and hold "C", you will recieve the exact items you used to built those.

Edited to seem less dismissive of the above.. it's the correct answer.

The command is dismantle which defaults to C. Some players will switch this to another key as they don't like wiggling stuff when they put things in holders.

I'll note that the candelabras can be a bit weird. I've had some that let me move most of it, and then left behind a single hanging skull lamp.

I find that it it is very to get focus on torches to be able to use the 'C' key to remove. Next time try getting right up on it with NO distance between you and the torch and then try the 'C' key. I have had great luck with this.

Was coming here to ask about dismantling fireplaces... I set one up real quick because Winter came... but it's not in a great place, and have walked around this stone fireplace trying to find where the "area" is to dismantle. Dismantle has worked easily for everything else I've done - but the fire place thing proves quite vexing.

If you still have partial sticks in stone fireplace from a previous fire you will not be able to dismantle it. Light the sticks again till all gone then you will be able to dismantle the stone fireplace with the 'C' key

Ah good to know. Also... wouldn't that make for an impressive wall around your base? A bunch of fireplaces with sticks in them... I assume the enemy wouldn't be able to destroy them since I can't. lol

Wow. I didn't realize this either. I guess it looks at the fireplace as locked in because its is "supporting" the sticks? Like the red x you get trying to remove structurally integral posts.

I wish there was a way to point at the stick and press "C" to get rid of them or "X" to delete them... I swear these sticks have been in this fireplace, and I've lit them up quite a few times, threw money and leaves on it, all in an effort to burn these sticks out.

EDIT: Thought the sticks were finally gone - tried to remove stones. Still couldn't. Turns out the snow had covered the sticks... >.<

EDIT 2: FINALLY! Sticks were gone and I could tear the damn thing down.
