Wack gun attachments

I just picked up the shotgun and laser attachment. Lemme just say that lasers and flashlights do not go on top of guns. Kinda takes the whole point of iron sights away.

I agree, the laser attachment should be bottom mounted and the flashlight should be side mounted.

If you don't like the game simply don't play it, it is currently in early access which means the game is not in a final state. Game developers release games in early access to find any and all possible bugs/suggestions.

The laser sight is in direct view when aiming down your sight, it is in fact not mounted properly.

The more I think about this stuff, I recall the first game. They did the same thing with the guns, but I think we feel it more keenly here due to it being far more realistic. The game may have unintentionally drifted away from that "gamey" feeling for realism and it shows.

It's not... game breaking. Just jank. I don't hate it, it's just weird.

However, adding lasers to the top of pistols is just dumb. Even the rail attachment it self blocks the iron sights. This is only acceptable when adding some sort of sight attachment like a holo sight ect. While you CAN add something like that to a gun irl, it would be stupid in my opinion. Why intentionally block your only method of aiming the gun? Unless the idea is spray and prey and its a meme gun it makes no sense.

The intent of a laser pointer is to add functionality, not take away from the guns abilities. It allows a user to aim without looking down the sights, however if you can you absolutely would aim down the sights. It allows for quick reactions in close quarters. Replacing the ability to actually aim at range is what makes it suck and it limits the gun to close quarters.

i believe if you attach the sight first then whatever else after it'll attach it on the bottom

I have, in fact I made a career out of working with weapons. You obviously haven't though (Airsoft, paintball, BB/Pellet guns, and COD don't count by the way) because the OP is right, the attachments aren't mounted correctly.

Clearly its bugged. In one situation, the hand axe was also attached to the pistol...ya it was a little odd.

This. 100%. My buddy and I were infuriated by how this was set up because its annoying as ♥♥♥♥ aiming with the attachments on. For all that is holy, they need to fix this. And I say fix, because its definitely awful.
