Fix the left handed bow bullsh**
Why the ♥♥♥♥ is he drawing the bow and slingshot with left hand but shoots guns and uses melee weapons with right hand... Fix this sh*t

It has nothing to do with being ambidextrous or left handed, the bows were used the same way in the first game. Its simply a poor game design that has been copy pasted from the first game

Holding the bow in your left hand IS right handed. It goes by the hand you use to draw the string.

im like this in real life. im right hand dominant but hold a bow or slingshot exactly the same way as this guy. i even bat lefty but couldnt wipe my ass or hold my ♥♥♥♥ with my left hand. if youre right handed it makes sense to hold a bow or slingshot in your left hand so you can use the strength of your dominant arm/hand to pull back on the item

Same here (except for maybe holding the ♥♥♥♥ part lol). I guess that's why i never noticed that in game.

You're right, but in the game it's the other way around. You hold the bow in your right hand, so you would have to be left-handed.

It's not that deep tf

A more accurate answer would be 'because the character focuses with their right eye'. Everybody can hold a bow in either hand but you should hold it in your left hand if you focus with your right eye and vice versa.

Yes, I got it the wrong way round, but my answer is still correct.

Finally a game that's inclusive to me. I shoot bows, pistols, and rifles left handed but would swing an axe or sword right handed. I'm not classically trained in sword play though so you know...

Its that deep when it affects the aim

I do most things right handed but use both when playing billiards, throwing knives and cleaning. Then I prefer my left exclusively for bowling and knitting. So I don't see a problem with him preferring certain activities with specific hands.

The thing is the protagonist in the first game did the same thing. Its a poor design choice and the devs are being lazy as they just copy and pasted the bow mechanics from the first game (:

honestly didn't notice that but now it bothers me I always felt like the bow was off somehow

he holds them in the right hand for the quick actions of the left hand to be free, it is tactically advantageous. that's it. he is a PMC, he is using the most efficient method possible. your aim isnt thrown off because the center of the screen is still the center of the screen. the firing arc is vertical, not angular. if you were to hold the bow in the left hand you would have to put it down to be able to hold something in the left hand, like a flashlight or lighter. also, note the compound bow is exclusively left handed, literally impossible to use correctly right handed. the character is using what is available, it is survival... it bothers me as well because i use a bow in my left hand and draw with the right, i have a personal experience that feels wrong when i shoot the bow in the game, but from a video game/survival aspect it makes the most sense.
