how to build bridges over lakes..

wait for snow and you have 4/5 days to complete the build. I've posted a screenshot. i have built my bridge on the north western lake with the tiny island. 3 seasons out of 4 no enemies can make it to your base. freakin awesome

If you build your base on the water the cannibals will constantly path into the water and drown trying to get to you

Bridge over lake technically is bridge in air or bridge between tree platforms. I've seen videos, how people attach ropes to logs horizontally and put halves of logs on them, making a bridge.
Alternatively you may use zipline. Logs can be sent via zipline. it works both ways, no matter it goes up or down.

I just build mine by placing logs vertically, in the water, framing and building, framing and building. Even build a whole, though currently small, cabin this same way. No waiting, no freezing, no deadline to complete.
