Does anyone know if you destroy the tents etc in the village, do the cannibals rebuild them? Do cannibals still spawn in the destroyed camp?

they do not rebuild the tents at this moment. but cannibals themself still respawn there.

It would make sense for something to happen after you've destroyed all of the cannibal camps.

They don't seem to rebuild, and also... They leave? I smashed their camp next to a bunker in the south-west good: destroyed every tent and effigy, about 10 days ago. Since then i loaded game a bunch and they have never came back. I keep coming there for rope for my traps, and there's nobody there since then. Before that there would be multiple cannibals there every time i visit, now it's deserted and i just geet free rope and crates

Some of the cannibal camps I destroyed remained destroyed after loading the game, others were restored when I returned a few days later. So either there's some timer after which the camps are restored, or it's related to a game update that may have restored the destroyed camps.

Destroyed camps stay destroyed and cannibals barely spawn there anymore in my sp game and it also does seem to reduce cannibal spawns in the surroundings.

I'm not convinced about reduced spawns - i have since wiped every camp around the landing strip in the south-west, and my base on the strip is still getting raided twice a day, from every direction, despite the camp locations being deserted every time i check.

The general location of your base also plays a big role. There are basically hot zones with lots of cannibal activity and zones with less activity. I´m building a new base at a lovely little pond with a waterfall right now just for fun and the location where I build is incredibly quiet and calm compared to other locations where i have built before.

Maybe you are in an area where there are more spawns idk.

Yeh, they get new sticks and put them back up again.. I mean.. It's a tent you kicked over. Not exactly WTC

I think I figured out which cannibal camps were rebuilt after I destroyed them. They're the ones where the last update added the climbable tower. The rework probably restored them.
The camps without the tower that I destroyed earlier seem to have remained destroyed.
