Rope gun grappling hook gone

I had a rope for log farming, a tree fell on the log with the rope and now its gone.
Do I have to reload or is there a way to get one?

I had my canteen disappear post patch... unsure if related or not.

You can find zipline rope around the map, or craft it with grappling hooks and rope. Grappling hooks can be obtained with the 3d printer.

You can get more hooks/ropes. You are able to combine the head(3d printed) with rope. Hope this helps!

The 3d printer is available without any necessary story progression. If you don't want to discover it for yourself google should do the trick.

However I am fairly certain the zipline ropes can be found in certain suitcases around the map.

The printer is right next to the zipline(rope) gun, its that green pulsing dot next to the gave.

He means it's close to the cave on the map. It's not in the same cave.

No, they meant close by on the map it isnt in the same cave. Go to the green dots on the map, one of them is a cave with an overgrown golf cart in front. That's where the printer is

yeah, that's what it was- I hotkeyed it then it disappeared
