Building on water

i really would like to build on water again or have some kinda houseboat to expand on.

Hopefully they'll add it as some late game recipes. Cuz having them at the beginning was very safe.

There is an island on heavily food/trees area. I'm thinking about building there. The only problem is that it's not that big, and I have to transfer logs somehow.

start a structure close to water and wait for winter. once the lake is frozen you can expand your building onto the ice and the structure remains after the ice melts. it looks kinda weird since your beams dont reach to the ground but whatever.

you can use the hookshot or as the ppl said here in winter on ice. its a floating base but it can work i saw it
