The Bow is just terrible!

There are already enough threads complaining about all kinds of things. After about 11 hours in the game, there is only one thing that really annoys me... the bow is just crap! the flight curve of the arrows is a bad joke! i might as well start throwing stones!

if there are no other useful weapons, then at least make the bow useful in some way! yes, it's all a matter of practice, blah, blah, blah!

In the first part you had an "aiming aid" when you aimed over the small stick .... but here it must be extra difficult? The content is not sufficient, as all the buyers have probably discovered by now... Is that why you have to make everything so unnecessarily complicated?

the bow shoots as you would expect a bow build from sticks, rope and duct tape (tapeing 2 sticks together xD) would perform. Actually i like it.

I would also like to be able to craft later a better bow.^^

Treat the bow with stone arrows like a short range stand-off weapon, not like a long ranged weapon.

I don't find the standard bow to be all that bad to be honest.

I'm a horrible shot from a distance but I let them in close enough, and I can put one between their eyes every time.

Maybe learn OP on how to use what you have, and turn it to your advantage instead of having everything handed to you.

Soon you will be upset because you don't have the benefit of built-in Aimbot to make the game easier.

Live with what you have, and learn how to use the bow.

the bow is OP atm. it one shots almost every normal cannibal with the exception of the bigger ones. the aiming isnt bad, there just isnt a crosshair which probably is hard to aim for you.

Try using the 3D printed arrows. Those have a really good flight path and simply shoot where they're pointed. The regular crafted arrows are total garbage though, I can agree

i know a guy who like bows, he dislikes it when games have assisted aiming for bows.

DYI bow is, as it should be, quite weak. The modern recurve you can find, on the other hand, turns every enemy you encounter into a dead porcupine in seconds.

cleared rebreather and zipline caves alone in hardcore in 3 days with just bow and spear and stone arrows and couple of nades... its fine just dont crouch though as aiming gets weird hen u crouch.. u have to be standing atleast for me.. arrows lean a little bit to your right so aim a bit left of center and try to be as close as possible when u fire you can always shoot and scoot and every arrow hit staggers every enemy in hardmode i have fired at, so u get to properly shoot and scoot.. headshots / neck shots stagger more ..

dont use bow vs crawly baby spear them also teh creepy dudes in cave if u startle them. if they are unaware a single head shot from 3D print arrow kills them.. if they are startled u have to switch to modren axe..

The bow is fine, stone arrows are bad. They don't fly even with tactical bow. Printed arrows are great and very cheap to make

Funny enough, it's not even hard to aim it. Tip of the arrow is roughly where it's going, and gotta adjust for up/down based on range of enemy.

yeah i dont think its hard either. you just have to miss 1-2 shots till you know where to aim and where the shots will land - its that easy. maybe its just too many steps for this troglodyte

Actually it's because the angle of the aim on the camera is wrong for the previous game and the current one.

Try the slingshot, it's just as bad but at least you can tell how far it leads to the left of the screen.

Try to record a video and then in a paint editor, draw the arc from your camera when shooting it.
