Lost items in multiplayer games
hello, I want to report, that when I play multiplayer with a friend, the inventory of the "guest player" is lost and it doesn't matter if we keep the two separately, the host keeps the inventory and this ruins the experience because you lose all the necessary items to advance in the history

Did you save?

Your save is independent of the hosts save file. If YOU didnt save then you wouldnt have kept anything from that session.

All players save the game, each one independently.
And the guest player loses everything

Odd. My first playthrough was completely done as a guest in multiplayer and it worked. I got a different bug that forced me to start a new character on that hosted game once.

But the saving system always worked fine.

In my case it is not like that, that is why I want to report it, in case it is a bug that they fix it in future updates, thanks for answering my friend

Same problem here! I played the game with two friends and at the beginning everything seemed to work well. First 5h felt like 5 mins and we were very hyped to continue the game on the next day. After they joined my server again most of there items were gone, only my items (host) had been saved. As you said this ruins the whole experience .... Hope they'll fix it as soon as possibe!

I hope they solve it, at least I'm not the only one that happens to it, I feel that this error will also ruin your experience, greetings friend

that sounds more like his save got deleted, sometimes it takes a few moments for your stuff to load.

Thanks man, would be nice to hear a statement from them.

Weird thing: my brother joined yesterday our game, all his items were gone. After he restarted and joined the game again (but "started" with a new save) he got half of his items back, and after he did this a third time, he got all his items back, like nothing happend.....

I don´t have any clue, how this works, but you guys could try this as well.

Same thing happened here today. I automatically started a new Char instead of Joining where i last saved and quit the game
Ive been playing sons of the forest with my partner, I host. Almost every time we load into the game again he has a seemingly random item missing - last time it was his whole stack of circuit boards, this time its the shotgun and all his meds. I havent lost any items yet as host. We always both save!
