Is the whole map supposed to have snow everywhere?

When I started playing the game, there was only snow up on the hill where I spawned, but below the hill it was warm climate without snow.
After going through one of the caves, I came out and now the whole world is full of snow.
Did my game bug out, or is this supposed to happen?
I am on day 13.

Winter season happened on my game day 11 i believe? somewhere around there.

The seasons change overtime, didn't you notice the trees changing colors?

every 10 days it cycles to winter for 5 days before going back

Aight, was worried my game had bugged out. I probably spent a couple of days in that darn cave so much could ha happened outside.
Is there a reason why the climate change so dramatically? I mean, snow on a high mountain I can understand, but down on a tropical beach? Paranormal things happening, or just devs putting in a very short season cycle?

I was surprised and worried as well, but if you wait a few days, the snow melts. Apparently seasons on the island are literally like five days.

Hue hue, funny guy. Like palm trees exist on all tropical islands.
But point taken, its Greenland then. Orcas, sharks and oysters in the water, and waterscooters and sun chairs on the beach,, Evidence enough I suppose.
