RAM? If you have 16-32 gb it's 100% your CPU.

yeah i do have 32 gb ram
CPU.

It's the game itself and not your system. (3080 / i5-12600k / 32gb 3200) here and on the lowest possible settings, windows 10/nvidia control pannel optimizations, and dynamic resolution turned on in game the game will not give me great fps at all nor change from the settings being on high or maxed out. Also the game will continue to stutter every 5-10 seconds on any setting. There is nothing that can be done until either a patch fixes it or the community finds a fix that includes custom imported files.

No it's you, or your CPU.

My specs are worse (except the CPU) and I have 60 frames on Ultra (with some changes in the graphics settings). Only time I have frame loss is during winter, especially when chopping down trees.

Ive got a AMD 3600 and 5700XT, 16GB ram. runs great with no stuttering. at 1440p pretty much max settings i get close to 60fps steady, so im trying it at 4K with FSR on and most settings on high/max. runs and looks great, although you can tell sometimes with the FSR on it does reduce the quality a bit. I'm not sure if its something to do with Nvidia cards, or I just got lucky, but I haven't had any of the performance problems people have been mentioning. Also only 1 crash so far, and i've been playing since release day.

It's most likely the game, not your system. 5950x with a 3090 FE, 32GB RAM. 30-50 frames average on all presets. No difference whatsoever, even with DLSS or FSR on.:lunar2019crylaughingpig:

I don't know if this game is one of them, but some games actually perform worse when your CPU is overclocked than when it is not.

You don't know how computers or programming video games works in the slightest then. The reason why PC gaming has been controversial as a superior platform is because there are so many combinations of cpu types to gpu types that it makes it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to program optimization for them all. My 1080 ti / i7 processor combo had a fun bug in Jedi Fallen Order that made the game performance wise unplayable. Hasn't been fixed to this day. A lower end system can perform better in a video game like this because the developers coded for that combination type or perhaps half of that combination type. Doesn't mean there is something wrong with the other system. If anything in this situation, it means that the developers need to "Get Gud".

been running on ultra all settings 1440p and having no issues. 3070, amd 5600x with 32 gb of ram myself nothing to report here.

ryzen 5800x3d ans 4090 4k high/ultra dlss on and frames stay 105 to 138(capped) so guessing hardware

This article explains it. Using your i5 with a higher end GPU (like your 3080) on 4K is likely the issue.

If the issue was consistent (it's not) then we could safely say it's a widespread optimization issue, but as I said, I have worse specs than you with the exception of my GPU and I'm running 60 FPS on Ultra.

If your MB supports it with a BIOS update a 5800x3d would be the way to go. It's more money but it is an awesome CPU for gaming.

You know the game is not optimised right?
