Golden armor not working

I found golden armor. when i get attack i lose health direct and the armors is still 100%, makes no sense. But amazing game, thanks

It's not meant to be used as armor, but it is a key item that is required to get to the ending.

I think that 'golden armor' is like a torture device for the insane.

Not really true.
It does like 25% damage reduction or something around that.

From what I've seen not wearing it with no armor you can take 3 direct club hits from a big guy while wearing it you can take 4 to almost 5.

It is meant as an armor that doesn't degrade.

I think armor that negates damage entirely is better and I find it insanely annoying how putting the gold armor on yourself or forced via plot that it just deletes whatever you were currently wearing.

Ah didn't realize it actually reduced damage taken, never bothered testing it since I was playing coop and I accidentally hit my friend with my Katana while he was wearing the golden armor and he said it reduced his armor levels to zero.

Are you sure it deletes your armor? I thought it just put your current armor back in your inventory?

the golden armor does not get destroyed

Idk honestly, I just know if you're like me and have a full set of armor with all 10 slots of that same armor as backup it will delete it.

I was VERY annoyed that my 10 pieces of creepy armor got deleted and not dropped and all I had left was my 10 pieces of creepy armor in my backpack. ):

The golden armor actually massively reduces the damage the "demons" deal to you but every other enemy type seems to damage you normally.

Are you sure?
I've noticed a damage reduction still from just basic tribals.

Though, I didn't test the damage with the demons. That cross kinda just makes everything trivial.

The golden armor is more for the ending. If you make it to the ending, you will notice that your guy puts it on automatically before the ending cut scene. I don't think its necessarily meant for actual armor.

I´ve Just got de golden armor. ( note: the demons are very very dificult, worse than the other caves).
The thing is, with the other common armor i´ve achieved a good protection and could get through it.
But the moment I start to use the golden armor, the damage a far worse, i died easier and worst of all, i lost a 4-5 other armors.

In my opinion, not a good item, could be only a key item but not a protection one.

To solve this, make it better, full protection but with the cost of energy and speed.

Golden armor opens end game door and defend against DEMON DAMAGE about 75% i think it was used to be 90% but i forget but it did get nerfed in the patch. Golden armor will not helping against ANY OTHER ENEMY BUT DEMON so be safe ok remember that

Also not so good against demons too. With a creepy armour i feel more safe in a cave demon battle.

Maybe it is bugged, because from my experience neither the golden armor nor the cross do anything at all. I personally was one-shot from full by a "demon" while wearing the golden armor right after getting it. I can use the cross to my heart's content on an enemy that I watched burn up and die in a video only to have it shy away for a second, then run up and one-shot me. Maybe it's because I play in multiplayer? It shouldn't be difficulty-related. We only play on Normal.
