Is kelvin supposed to permanently die? Or is his perma-death just a bug?

I am curious to see if they will update the game so that we can revive Kelvin without going into game files to do manually or if this was intentional since I understand this is still in early access.

if he dies then he dies, the devs said you only get one kelvin. You can pick him up when he falls from enemies but if you kill him with an axe or something then hes gone forever

dang, that kinda sucks. I accidentally hit him while fending off cannibals, then overwrote my save thinking he can be revived. Probably something the player should at least know about

If you are in single player or if the host of a multiplayer session kills Kelvin he remains dead permanently. If he is killed by enemies you can revive him. If a non-host player in a multiplayer session kills Kelvin he will remain dead until the end of this session meaning that when you save and reload the game he will return.

Yeah when he's dead, he's dead. You can revive him if he falls from damage but if YOU kill him? Done-zo.

I was fighting a cannibal in the woods and he literally moseyed right in front of us as we were hitting each other and I killed him. Permanently.

Game must be bugged in multiplayer. A troll killed my Kelvin. I have saved and reloaded - no Kelvin. I have tried the manual way, still no Kelvin. Guess I’m starting over bc of some troll.

If you or someone else accidentally kill Kelvin or Virgina, you can type (without the quotes) 'cheatstick' when in a save game (no need to open a console for that part) and after that, press F1 and type 'addcharacter robby [number of Kelvins to spawn]' (excluding the quotes and brackets).

Good to know. I killed idiot-boy one time (it was an accident!) and Virginia wouldn't stop crying. Get over him, girl, he wasn't worth it!

First time after I lost Kelvin after 200+ days and heard her crying over his dead body I was devastated. XD
