It's been a good multiple days now, I let her approach me and I'm unequipped, she just always runs away, am I missing something?

I let her approach me with my hands empty, and eventually she started giving me gifts. It took a few times.

The AI is fairly good. I just existed around her. Normally I'd stop for a moment. approach a bit, but when she backed off id go back to doing whatever, but i'd stay in the area until she started wandering (clearly her scripted event was over)

Well, first, you gotta get game. If you got no game, you ain't gettin' no Virgina.
Then, you gotta get a bath. If you smell like you've been lost in the woods for weeks, you ain't gonna get no Virgina either.
You should probably try to scavenge up some decent cloths too as well as a pair of cheap sunglasses.
Then, if you're lucky, say all the right things, pick up the bar tab, hold the door and play your cards right, you just might get some Virgina.

My mate accidentally downed her in the early first days, we've been friendly ever since, it's day 16 right now, she's been downed by enemies and we've revived her. Does it change anything?

It does take a few days for her to really become friendly. I think I was on day 5 when she finally would be approachable. I gave her a camo outfit that I didn't know I had. She gave me a dead squirrel. I'm ok with this transaction.
Soon as I find the pistol and shotgun, she's getting armed and ready 👍👍

I kept avoiding her cause i thought she was with the cannibals, but eventually she started bringing me berries and dead animals. 1 or 2 days after that i was able to give her a gun and put a tracker on her

I'm guessing the experience is different because we are multiplayer, solo seems easy or she might be bugged
